The Office Manager Certification Course, accredited by the University of Houston College of Optometry, is the first program of its kind to combine education, testing and ongoing support, specifically designed for eye care office managers.

Through live webinar sessions or a flexible on-demand option, attendees learn essential skills in staff management, scheduling, budgeting, systems planning, legal considerations and financial performance. After completing the course and passing a comprehensive exam, participants will earn the designation of Certified Office Manager.

Optometric Billing & Coding Certification Program (OBCCP)


Strengthen one of the most critical functions in your practice with PECAA's Optometric Billing & Coding Certification Program. Accredited by the Accreditation by the Higher Education Committee (AHEC), this comprehensive program gives eye care billing professionals the tools and knowledge to manage claims with accuracy, reduce denials and maximize reimbursement.

Through a mix of live instruction, Q&A sessions, quizzes and a final exam, participants learn and demonstrate mastery of essential billing and coding skills, including medical terminology, documentation standards, insurance, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding and the full claim lifecycle. Registration includes a course textbook and workbook for ongoing reference. At the completion of the program, having demonstrated proficiency on the course assessment, attendees will earn the designation of Certified Optometric Biller and Coder.

Optical Management Certification Course (OPTMC)
